I used their shuttle service, and I am wondering why they don’t post the dirty-clunker vehicle they actually show up in! Also, why do they state that they give refunds for service not provided, when really what they are doing is not providing the service and keeping your money without an explination as to why! Try using that USA phone number and see if you can get through! It never works! Trying to get someone to answer the Costa Rica number is a task in itself! Suggestion: Use a different shuttle company or start walking!

I had recently found some border paper that I liked and decided to order it online versus in the store I found it at in an effort to save some money. When I got the paper, it was a completely different color. The product in the store was more blue and the paper I received was more green. All information was the same. When I called to send it back I quickly understood “it was too good to be true”. Here is how they would RIP YOU OFF! The border paper was 3 rolls @ $20.44 for a total of $61.31 I was told that there would be 30% restocking fee AND a $10 shipping fee so they would refund me $28.39!!! I bet he makes money hand over fist at that rate of ripping people off! You charge me $61.31, send me some crap that is nothing like the appearance on the site, or as I previously have seen, get back some product, and keep more than half of my money!!! Scam artist! No wonder you charge a 30% restocking fee and charge a ridiculous shipping fee on returns…that’s obviously how you make your money! People order products and you send out crap and keep their money! I ordered a desk online. It was on back order so it would be delivered a couple months later. They delivered it several weeks after they took payment. They scheduled a delivery time and arrived several hours early, then ran out the door. I opened the box and immediately saw that the desk was cracked in several places. I called the delivery guys, no answer. I called C&B and they would not ask the delivery guys, who had just left, to come back and pick it up. They would not accommodate my schedule at all to come pick it up and said a new delivery was many weeks away. They said they would call me back with a pick up and delivery date. That was two weeks ago. After the way they treated me on the phone and the runaround they gave me I will never buy from C&B again.

I have ordered from them before, the product worked okay, but the product is now defective. But when I was shopping somewhere else, I found out that the company took money out without my permission for membership renewal. They did not even send me an email telling me that my membership was due please renew or cancel, no, they took it out and overdrew my bank account. I had to wait about 4 days to put it back in and cancel the membership, which I don’t even need anymore since they did not leave my bank account alone. I would of trusted them, but they do things that I do not agree with such as sending things that wear out easily and go into your bank account without your permission. So buyer or newbie beware of this company if you are planning on saving money by getting their membership. Plus the membership is only recommended for frequent shoppers, once you sign up for it and the year has passed be prepared for them to withdraw $40.00 from your bank or credit card without an email
saying they were going to take money out even when you do not have money in there in the first place. If you order once, don’t get the membership!

I ordered an item & noticed right away that the tracking was showing it as being shipped to the wrong state. Brought this to their attention. They did nothing to check into it, just assured me it was a tracking number issue (which it was not). So, I had to wait on this thing to be mailed across the country to the wrong state before they would listen to me & now have to wait another week for them to send a replacement. Turns out they typed my zip code wrong. Had they listened to me & corrected the problem right away, I wouldn’t be waiting almost 20 days for my item.

discountanimeusa not only is a fraud but I am convience that they hacked and stole my credit informaion and took money. I belive they are somewhere in euro the credit reports came from somewhere in england. I think we need to look more closely at the E-market and laws that say you can sell and market anything with out proper licenseing. I can no longer get onto there site and I’m assuming that there P.O. Box is also invalid in San Diego. My advice would be if you are going to bye online and have never bought from a new website to do some research. I would have loved to look at this information before making the decision to bye. good luck.

I have placed several orders with eCost without incident, however I am very disappointed with a recent customer service issue. On my last order approximately 2-3 weeks ago, I signed up for their Platinum Premium membership. I was sold on this during the checkout process and I have a screenshot if anyone is interested in seeing. It stated for $39.99 that there was FREE ground shipping and discounted express shipping, exclusive access to bargain countdown platinum showcase, and exclusive access to platinum outrageous offers (Tuesday/Thursday). There is an add membership button. There is no details button and no restrictions button.

All was well until I tried to order a 19″ LCD TV on 12/01/09. It came up asking for shipping costs. I called customer service and was told that it did not apply to orders over 10 lbs. This was not stated on the banner selling me this a few weeks ago. They told me I received an email with the restrictions which I may have (I haven’t gone back and looked). However, I said this was not stated when I signed up and I would like to cancel it and receive a refund for the membership. I was told they can cancel it, but they can not refund my money as the membership is non-refundable. I asked about the shippng again and they said I received an email with the restriction. I stated that an email with the restrictions after I order it does not do me any good if I can’t get a refund.

I asked for a supervisor and was told they were busy. I asked for any supervisor or management person and after a couple minutes was told they were all busy. I asked to be called by a supervisor. The customer service rep. took down my number, but no call. I am considering disputing the charge for the membership through my credit card company due to the misleading advertisement, but either way I have most likely purchased my last item from eCost. I have recommended a family member to eCost who has also purchased items and I have recommended to other friends. I will stop recommending eCost. A business is only as good as its customer service.

Home bar purchased online and received it with cracked granite top. replacement effort is in its5th Month and I was told it would not be replaced before Jan 25, 2010. Correspondence is not answered, totally frustrating to contact them. I will NEVER buy anything from these folks again nor do I receommend anyone go through what I have in dealing with this company.

I orderd two patterns in 2009, it took FOUR MONTH for them to ship the items. I have emailed them(to info@sewingpatterns.com) so many times but no response. Finally I made a overseas call and they said my address was missing zip code and that is the reason why the order was pending. But they didn’t do anything at all but just left the order pending, nor read my email?
Now in 2010, I ordered a pattern for maternity clothes for myself six weeks ago and still waiting my item. Since I have received order confirmation by mail, I haven’t heard from them yet, even though I keep sending email to and leaving massage on voicemail. As my belly grow, I need to sew my maternity clothes for myself right now, and I will move to abroad soon so I don’t know what to do. I am afraid if they ship my item after my baby born…

Lessons learned – do NOT ever buy from BestBuy that would need a service! Do NOT pay for extended services!

My recent experience with trying to get them to cover a broken part in my refrigerator, with the Service contract I purchased that was supposed to “cover wear and tear… no hidden cost, no out-of-pocket…” got me no where. I was told if I really wanted a service person to come out to look at it, he can say it’s not covered and I will have to pay $100 for his trip! Then I talked to someone at Customer Relations and was told as long as the fridge “is still generating cold, nothing else is covered”… Beware! Don’t buy anything you’ll ever possibly need repair from BestBuy.

I specified a particular area of Boston that i needed 4 hotel rooms for a family party. I stated my bid and immediately got a confirmation back with my bid price HOWEVER the Hotel is NOT in the AREA that I specified which will now result in Cab rides from where we are going to be to the hotel. Priceline broke their end of the deal yet I have to recourse to get them to correct this? I WILL NEVER EVER USE PRICELINE AGAIN! This is BS. Now I am stuck with 4 hotel rooms miles away from the rest of the Party and no where to turn.

I ordered three items related to car batteries (special jumper-cable type products that work through the cigarette lighter in the car or cars) back in early August. After several attempts to use them (one was solar-powered, and designed to keep a car battery from running out of juice when not in use), with little or no success–I finally started my car by rolling it down the hill!!–I decided to return the worthless products to the nearest Target store (as it said I could do when I ordered them), then shop for some other things that I might want.

My next bad experience was looking for a non-existent receipt. When I went back on-line, the web site said I had never ordered anything at all!! Luckily I still had the box, with my name and address and the return address, as well as the credit card bill with the charges from Target, so I decided to go to the store anyway.

When I arrived, they (naturally) said I would need a receipt, and we went to their store computer, which repeated my previous experience. Luckily, when I persisted (and since I had the box, the three items and my credit card bill) the clerk made a phone call to someone who was able to confirm the purchases and authorize her to refund the original cost, minus the shipping charges.

I asked if they were going to refund the shipping charges, since the items were clearly useless, and the person on the phone suggested that I go home and call Target. I absolutely refused, since at that point I would no longer have the items, there was no receipt, and no one could see my credit card bill over the phone or on line!!

At that point I asked for a supervisor, who spent almost thirty minutes on the phone to get my lousy $16 worth of shipping refunded. The supervisor, who was very nice and understood (and knew that the lack of a receipt was an ongoing problem) should have had the right to make the refund on the spot, without wasting any more of my time (or hers). I was there for nearly an hour at the counter to return three defective items, mainly because of Target’s defective computer system compounded by their defective policies toward almost everyone!!!

I left the store without buying anything at all, and I can’t really think of a reason ever to buy anything from Target Stores again, either on-line or in person.

Order placed 10/17. Two quick emails from them to confirm that order was taken and to expect a followup tracking email shortly. No notice of any out of stock or back order items. As of 10/28, no delivery or further communication from Aqua superstore. I was attempting to purchase a non-pool related product, which they use other vendors to process. I think this is the problem, and I doubt I will use them again. Live and learn…

Purchased a Suunto watch 6/09 along with a 2 year warrenty from Dexclusive (which was a mistake via not unselecting a check box on check out). On a side not I tried to call Customer service to get rid of the warrenty and was not able to. Thought I was lucky I didn’t when the watch broke 2 months later. Customer service has had it ever since 9 MONTHS! I will spare you details but bottom line is they are not authorized dealers for the watches they sell. All is well unless it breaks. Customer service seems lovely until you need them. They do not return calls and do not make any effort to follow up. For weeks now I have been unable to visit with anyone who will provide an answer. Count it as a loss! I would never use them again.

My worst experience ever for returning an item purchased at the Bestbuy store in Fairlakes, VA with the use of gift cards. Gift cards were also used toward purchases of LED-TV and sound system. However, the sound system was malfunctioned, so I decided to just return and to receive refund. The store insisted the only way to receive this refund was in the form of giftcards first for the exact same amount was used. I told the store manager that because of TV was a big purchase item made, I felt it was adequate for applied the gift cards towards it. But they kept insisting this was their only way of refunding per their registered system was built. No exception what so ever that any store managers can do. Until I researched Bestbuy’s policy listed on website, I realized I was victimized. Bestbest was so dishonest and to lie to customers. I hope BestBuy should cleanup their act or else they will definitely loose many of their customers.

I’ve been had and I GET IT.

Ordered checks thinking I could pick something better and cheaper than from my bank. NEVER do this. I have to throw them out, I have contacted them via email, no response, I cannot find a phone number anywhere but may try again with that. They could not verify my routing number as a breach of security. They printed a routing number from God knows where???? My checks were refused before I even looked at the problem. I lost 34.00 which was not really cheaper at all. I have read other complaints and will look for extra monthly charges next. They should be put out of business. I will go the Better Business Bureau next. Tom in Santa Rosa
